Smear

Smear a.k.a. Al Matthews began making music in 1999 under the name Element Abuse, producing a range of sonically abrasive and dense music for labels such as Anti Narcose and Yb70. His Element Abuse output became more influenced by the Birmingham and Ealing techno producers, and in early 2006 he began producing more dark and abstract techno as Smear. Since then Smear has worked closely Avionix Recordings & Kaktus Recordings, and has upcoming 12" releases on Black Monolith and Limetree Projects later this year
