The history of "persistence" goes back to 2004. SAGAE had his musical career in Hokkaido and other northeastern region of Japan, including his home city of Yamagata. KATAGIRI had his musical career mainly in Yamagata and Miyagi. These two musician founded Techno music party "PERSISTENCE" focused on the sound which is hard, dark and heavy. They were greatly influenced by Techno tracks by Surgeon, Regis, Female and Makaton from Birmingham, UK. Up until now they have played many tracks by those musicians. rich in originality and unique. That means they developed their talents. Not only Techno music, they also lean toward Underground music such as noise·industrial including Whitehouse, Throbbing Gristle, SPK, Einstürzende Neubauten.
