ETP

Education Through Pain is more than common music production. ETP is a group which explores different fields of expression. This even includes an affiliation of Audio/Visuals or various forms of action. The desire to challenge and question, to force and study, the desire to revise expectations is an important part of their work. Hence their music is less aimed to be only for dancefloors. It stretches out to a variety of styles and may reach from harsh and fierce noise to more rhythm-orientated or ‘listening-pleasure’ structures. You can never be sure which form it actually takes. So ETP faces the Theory of Expectations. ETP is influenced by a wide range of interests. History, art, literature, a variety of challenging, ingenious music such as: industrial/noise, techno, IDM, (post)-punk/-rock, jazz, (modern) classics, krautrock and all kinds of interesting experimental music are important for their work. ETP is playing dj-sets and highly experimental live performances as well.
